3PL Warehouse Near Me — Answered Straight
Looking for a 3PL warehouse near you? Here's what actually matters.
Distance to a warehouse rarely determines how fast your customer gets their order — the carrier network does. What determines your margin is the rate card. Here's ours, in full, plus what to ask any 3PL before you sign.

Before you request a quote
Know the cost. Check the fit. Plan your first shipment.
Start with a small shipment or an established operation. There is no minimum volume. Tell us what you sell so we can confirm the handling, space and shipping you actually need.
What will my first month cost?
Example: 500 single-item orders under 5 lb × $2.00 full-service handling = $1,000. At $0.25 per mailer add $125; two full billable pallet-months add $50 and one inbound pallet adds $20. Total: $1,195 BEFORE postage, returns or extra work.
Examples use standard storage in the first three months. Long-stay pallet rates are $28/month in months 3–6 and $32/month after six months. Your written quote separates receiving, storage, handling, materials and shipping. Build your own estimate.
Why are there two handling prices?
Under 5 lb, Lean FBA is $0.50/unit and Lean FBM is $1.75/order when goods arrive pre-packed and ready to label. Full-service handling is $0.75/FBA unit or $2.00/FBM order; materials and postage are separate. These are service tiers, not automatic volume discounts.
Heavier items use different weight bands; over 15 lb or bulky items need a written quote. See the complete rate card.
Can you handle my products and platform?
Share your product type, packed dimensions and weight, sales platform and expected volume. Small batches and returns-only enquiries are welcome. Batteries, liquids, food, supplements, temperature-sensitive, hazardous or oversized items need acceptance and handling requirements confirmed before you ship.
For Shopify, Amazon, Walmart or another platform such as Amboras, tell us how orders and inventory are exchanged. The team confirms the connection or file workflow before onboarding; a platform name alone does not guarantee a supported integration.
How do I send inventory?
- Send your SKU list, dimensions, weights and carton/pallet count.
- Receive the written scope, rates and product-acceptance confirmation.
- Confirm account setup, labeling and receiving instructions with the team before dispatch.
- Send shipment details and tracking; agree the first prep job or order workflow.
Receiving location: 6117 Long Dr, Houston, TX 77087. Confirm inbound instructions before sending goods.
What about shipping and storage dimensions?
For a shipping estimate, send origin and destination ZIP codes, packed dimensions, weight, parcel count and desired delivery speed. Handling prices do not include carrier postage. Storage is charged only by carton or pallet. Bin and shelf storage is included in our standard pick-and-pack rate, with no separate charge. Send product dimensions and quantities so the team can confirm usable space, availability and the applicable carton or pallet storage rate in writing.
After you enquire: a real person from our Houston team replies within one business day, confirms any missing details and sends itemized pricing. You can ask for a written quote without booking a sales call. Unsure of volume? Select “Not sure yet” in the quote form.
Why "3PL warehouse near me" isn't the question to ask
It isn't the question because distance to a warehouse rarely affects what your customer pays in shipping or how fast their order arrives — the carrier network decides that, not your address. Once your inventory sits inside a fulfillment center, the distance that matters is between the warehouse and your customer, not between the warehouse and you. You're not driving to the warehouse every day. Your customers are the ones waiting on a box.
What actually decides whether a 3PL works for your business is the same regardless of address: what you pay per unit and per order, whether there's a contract locking you in, what's included in that price versus billed as an extra, and how fast your inventory becomes sellable after it arrives. Those are the questions worth spending your research time on. Below, we answer them with our actual rate card — not a "call for pricing" page.
Distance to you
Feels important. Doesn't affect what your customer pays in shipping or how fast their order ships once it's picked and packed.
Rate transparency
Determines your margin on every single order. A small per-order gap adds up fast once you're shipping in volume, every month, forever.
Contract terms
Determines how much risk you're taking on. Month-to-month means you can leave if the fit is wrong. A long-term contract means you can't.
KAK's published rates — the same card every seller gets
We publish one rate card and quote every seller off it. No "call for enterprise pricing." Here's what runs through our Houston warehouse:
| Service | Rate | What's included |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon FBA prep | $0.75/unit | FNSKU labeling and prep labor for units under 5 lb; polybags, bubble wrap and other materials are separate |
| FBM / DTC fulfillment | $2.00/order (up to 5 lb) | Pick, pack, ship, packaging materials billed separately |
| FBM / DTC fulfillment | $2.75/order (5–8 lb) | Same as above |
| FBM / DTC fulfillment | $4.00/order (8–15 lb) | Same as above |
| FBM / DTC fulfillment | Custom quote (over 15 lb) | Same as above |
| Pallet storage | $25/pallet, billed monthly | Climate-controlled; you pay only for the fraction of the month you use |
| Receiving | $20/pallet ($5/carton) | Charged on every inbound |
| Returns processing | $1.50/return | Inspection included |
| Postage / carrier labels | Pass-through at cost | Discounted USPS/UPS/FedEx rates, no markup |
Kitting, bundling, subscription-box assembly, and custom inserts are custom-quoted — send specs through get a quote and you'll have a number in 24 hours. Container devanning, LTL freight, and white-glove handling are quoted per job at negotiated carrier cost. Full breakdown at our price list and pricing page.
What a month actually costs
About $25/month in storage for a full pallet ($25 per month), plus $2.00 per order for standard parcels under 5 lb — that's the baseline for a seller holding one pallet of stock at that fulfillment tier. Here's the math at three order volumes:
| Orders/month | Fulfillment (×$2.00) | Storage (1 pallet) | Total | Cost per order |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 50 | $137.50 | $50.00 | $187.50 | $3.75 |
| 100 | $275.00 | $50.00 | $325.00 | $3.25 |
| 300 | $825.00 | $50.00 | $875.00 | $2.92 |
This doesn't include carrier postage, which we pass through at our discounted rate with no markup — that line depends on your parcel weight and destination zone, so it varies seller to seller. Ask us for a sample label cost on your actual SKUs.
Full-service FBA handling for units under 5 lb is $0.75/unit, including FNSKU labeling and prep labor. Materials are separate: polybag $0.20/unit and bubble wrap $0.20/unit when needed. Receiving, storage and outbound freight are separate. Lean label-ready units start at $0.50; heavier units use the published weight bands.
What to ask any 3PL — near you or not — before you sign
Ask about minimums, setup fees, contract terms, receiving cost, storage billing, lot tracking, peak-season surcharges, carrier markup, returns handling, and platform integrations — those are the questions worth asking any 3PL, near you or not. Here's how we answer each one, pulled from the actual RFQs we get every week:
| Question | Our answer |
|---|---|
| Minimum order volume or spend? | None. We take on brands launching with a single unit. |
| Setup, onboarding, or account-management fees? | None. There's no setup fee. |
| Contract or cancellation penalties? | None. We're month-to-month. |
| Receiving cost and time-to-available? | $20/pallet ($5/carton). Inventory in before the 2pm CT cutoff, Mon–Sat, is processed same day. |
| Storage billing basis and climate control? | $25/pallet per month, climate-controlled, 24/7 monitored. |
| Lot number and expiration tracking? | Available on request, tracked in our WMS. |
| Peak-season surcharges? | None, ever. |
| Carrier markup? | None. USPS/UPS/FedEx rates pass through at our discounted cost. |
| Returns — inspection, restocking, disposal? | $1.50/return, inspection included. |
| Platform integrations? | Shopify, TikTok Shop, Walmart, eBay, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Etsy, Magento, and Amazon FBM, with real-time inventory in our dashboard. |
Kitting, custom packaging, bundle preassembly, freight, and white-glove needs get a specific number once we see your specs — that's the only category we won't quote blind, because it genuinely depends on the job. Everything else above is the same rate for every seller, published on our warehousing service page.
When a warehouse near you is genuinely the better call
We'll say it plainly: a local warehouse is the right answer in a few specific situations.
- You drop off inventory in person, often. If you manufacture or wholesale near your own location and restock weekly, the round trip matters more than the rate card.
- Nearly all of your orders ship to one metro. If your customer base is hyper-local rather than national, a nearby warehouse can beat any out-of-state 3PL on transit time.
- You move oversized or palletized freight, not parcels. Heavy or bulky shipments sometimes make more sense through a local LTL terminal than a parcel-focused fulfillment center.
Outside those cases — standard ecommerce, DTC, multi-channel, FBA prep — the deciding factors are the ones above: cost per order, what's included, and whether you're locked into a contract. That's true whether the warehouse is two miles from you or in Houston.
