Start with a small shipment or an established operation. There is no minimum volume. Tell us what you sell so we can confirm the handling, space and shipping you actually need.
What will my first month cost?
Example: two pallets held for a full billable month cost $50; receiving two pallets costs $40. Total: $90 before outbound handling, carrier charges or special work. Storage bills from day one — there is no free introductory period.
Examples use standard storage in the first three months. Long-stay pallet rates are $28/month in months 3–6 and $32/month after six months. Your written quote separates receiving, storage, handling, materials and shipping. Build your own estimate.
Why are there two handling prices?
Under 5 lb, Lean FBA is $0.50/unit and Lean FBM is $1.75/order when goods arrive pre-packed and ready to label. Full-service handling is $0.75/FBA unit or $2.00/FBM order; materials and postage are separate. These are service tiers, not automatic volume discounts.

Can you handle my products and platform?
Share your product type, packed dimensions and weight, sales platform and expected volume. Small batches and returns-only enquiries are welcome. Batteries, liquids, food, supplements, temperature-sensitive, hazardous or oversized items need acceptance and handling requirements confirmed before you ship.
For Shopify, Amazon, Walmart or another platform such as Amboras, tell us how orders and inventory are exchanged. The team confirms the connection or file workflow before onboarding; a platform name alone does not guarantee a supported integration.
How do I send inventory?
- Send your SKU list, dimensions, weights and carton/pallet count.
- Receive the written scope, rates and product-acceptance confirmation.
- Confirm account setup, labeling and receiving instructions with the team before dispatch.
- Send shipment details and tracking; agree the first prep job or order workflow.

What about shipping and storage dimensions?
For a shipping estimate, send origin and destination ZIP codes, packed dimensions, weight, parcel count and desired delivery speed. Handling prices do not include carrier postage. Storage is charged only by carton or pallet. Bin and shelf storage is included in our standard pick-and-pack rate, with no separate charge. Send product dimensions and quantities so the team can confirm usable space, availability and the applicable carton or pallet storage rate in writing.

The price: $25 per pallet, per month
Storage at KAK costs $25 per pallet per month, and that is the whole number. Climate control, 24/7 monitoring, and live inventory counts in your dashboard are included in the rate — they are not add-ons we itemize later. A pallet that sits with us a full month bills $25. A pallet that ships out mid-month bills only the fraction of the month it actually used — prorated, done.

Why prorated billing beats flat monthly billing
Prorated billing means you pay for the fraction of the month you actually use. Many 3PLs bill storage by the calendar month: if your pallets leave on the 4th, you still paid for the 30th. That rounding always lands in the warehouse's favor, and on rolling inventory it compounds every single month.
Ecommerce inventory rolls. A container lands, you sell it down, the next one is already on the water. Under flat calendar-month billing, every pallet that clears mid-month is money you spent on empty rack space. Under our prorated billing, the bill tracks what is physically on the floor: pallets that leave stop billing when they leave, not at the end of the month.
- Pallet stays 2 weeks — half a month, prorated: $12.50. Not a full month's charge.
- Pallet stays a full month — $25.
- Pallet stays 6 weeks — a month and a half, $37.50. You always know the math in advance.
There is no contract behind any of this. Storage is month-to-month; scale up for Q4, scale back down in January, and the bill follows your pallet count both directions.
Receiving: $20 per pallet ($5 per carton)
Receiving costs $20 per pallet ($5 per carton) on every inbound shipment. When your truck hits our dock we unload it, count it against your packing list, and put it away. Your counts appear in the KAK WMS dashboard as pallets are processed — you are not waiting on an emailed spreadsheet.
Freight that arrives before our 2pm CT cutoff, Monday through Saturday, gets processed the same day. Send us the delivery appointment ahead of time and the dock is ready when the driver shows up.
Bringing in a full container instead of palletized freight? We handle container devanning and LTL freight too, quoted per shipment at our negotiated carrier cost. Tell us what's inbound on the quote form and you'll have the number in 24 hours.
Climate control, security, and who pays when something breaks
Climate control is the building, not an upsell
The entire 32,000 sqft facility is climate-controlled, year-round. Houston summers are brutal — heat and humidity ruin supplements, cosmetics, candles, chocolate, leather, and electronics long before anyone opens a box. Some warehouses sell climate control as a premium zone at a premium rate. Here it is simply how the building runs, and it is included in the $25.
24/7 monitored
The facility is monitored around the clock, every day of the year. If you want to see it yourself, come look: walk-ins are welcome with 24 hours notice, Monday through Saturday, 9am–6pm CT, at 6117 Long Dr, Houston, TX 77087.
Insurance and liability, in plain words
Coverage runs up to $500,000 per occurrence, and KAK is fully liable for its own handling. If we damage your goods, we pay for them — we do not hide behind fine print about acts of God while your claim dies in an inbox. Ask any prospective 3PL to put their liability position in writing; we just did.
Lot numbers, expiration dates, and knowing what you actually have
Lot-number and expiration-date tracking is available on stored inventory, and everything is visible in the KAK WMS dashboard in real time. If you sell supplements, food, cosmetics, or anything else with a shelf life, this is the difference between managing inventory and guessing at it.

Storage here also plugs straight into the rest of the operation when you want it to: full 3PL fulfillment picks and ships DTC orders from your stored pallets from $2.00 per order, and FBA prep runs $0.75 per unit under 5 lb for full-service handling, with materials separate. You do not need to move inventory to a second building to start shipping from it.
