What counts as a value-added service here
A value-added service is anything past the base pick-pack-ship rate — kitting two SKUs into one unit, assembling subscription boxes, slipping in a custom insert or thank-you card, or devanning and moving a container. None of it has a flat published price because the labor varies job to job: a simple two-item bundle taped shut is quick work, while a multi-component build with a printed insert takes real assembly time and materials. We quote those by the job, not by guesswork.
What's not a value-added service — because it's already inside the base rate — is FNSKU labeling, polybagging, bubble wrapping, and standard cartonization on every unit that goes through FBA prep at $0.75/unit, and pack materials on every FBM order at $2.00 and up. Base rates vs. value-added add-ons
Five line items are on our published rate card, locked through Q1 2027. Four are custom-quoted because the work isn't standardized enough to flatten into one number.

Two promises we keep on every add-on job
We never force preassembly. Bundles ship picked and packed per order at the flat per-order rate above — no minimum kit quantity, no forced batch-build. Want units kitted ahead of time so pick-pack is faster on your end? That's the paid add-on. Fine with us assembling at time of pick? It's already covered.
No setup fee to start an add-on. There are no setup fees. Kitting, subscription boxes, and custom inserts are quoted per unit or per job — never with an onboarding charge bolted on.

Base fulfillment for that month runs $1,532.50 on published rates alone. The kitting line is the only number we can't print here — tell us it's a two-item set with a printed insert and no special materials, and you'll have that add-on price within 24 hours, same as everything else on this page.
How a kitting or bundling quote actually happens
- Send specs — SKUs going into the kit, unit counts, any inserts or printed materials, and whether you want it built ahead of time or at pick.
- We quote the per-unit or per-job add-on rate within 24 hours, itemized against the base $0.75 FBA prep or $2.00+ FBM rate so you see exactly what's incremental.
- You approve — no contract, month-to-month like every other service we run.
- We build it at receiving if preassembled, or at pick if assembled per order, and it ships or gets prepped same day when it's in before the 2pm CT cutoff, Monday–Saturday.
Questions buyers actually ask before sending a kitting job
These come straight off real RFQs from new brands sizing us up.
- Is there a minimum order to use an add-on service? No. We take a single unit the same as we take a pallet — no minimum spend, no minimum SKU count.
- Do add-ons carry a contract or cancellation penalty? No. Everything is month-to-month, add-ons included. Stop a kitting run whenever you want.
- Does kitting change how storage is billed? No. Storage is $25 per pallet per month regardless of what's on the pallet — kitted, bundled, or loose units all bill the same.
- Do you track lot numbers and expiration dates on kitted units? Yes, lot-number and expiration-date tracking is available and shows up in the same KAK WMS dashboard as your regular inventory.
- Does an add-on job affect the same-day cutoff? Only if the build itself takes longer than the cutoff window allows — a simple two-item kit built at pick still ships same day before 2pm CT; a large preassembly run gets its own build timeline when we quote it.
- Do kitted SKUs integrate with Shopify, TikTok Shop, and Walmart? Yes — a kit gets its own SKU in the WMS and syncs through the same integrations as every other product, so orders for the bundle route and ship like any other order.
